Il Poggiolo farmhouse is in Perugia (Umbria), a few kilometers away from Lake Trasimeno. It stretches over 60 hectares of crops, olive trees and vines. In our fenced wood there are our beehives and sheepfold (we have about 180 mutton sheep).

The farmhouse has the ICEA biological certification.

 Il Poggiolo farmhouse consists of the main Country House Poggiolo Villa and five independent cottages around it. The Villa was built in the second half of XIX century and it offers bedrooms and suites with B&B accommodation. The surrounding cottages were built some years later, at the beginning of XX century. From the entrance gate two main paths lead you into Il Poggiolo: the cypress path on the right leads you to the main Villa, the lime one on the left to the parking area.

 In Il Poggiolo’s park you can find the old greenhouse and stable which becomes our restaurant’s rooms. Next to the greenhouse’s entrance there is a bell-tower of late XIX century: probably on the setting of the present day greenhouse there was once a chapel with its own bell-tower. The wood was likely planted in the same period (second half of XIX century) and it is crossed by three paths: as a trident, they go on three different directions to meet again at the top of the hill where there is a small cave lake and a holm oak wood where you can have a picnic on our big stone table and benches. There also some small hunting huts which today we use to have a break during our rides with horses and ponies.
